My name is Denise Clark and I am a local, Independent Minister.
I founded Magnavita in order to provide the best possible service to anyone recently bereaved.
Briefly, I began my career as a Secular Minister, although I am Church of England educated and I am also called upon to perform religious Services, albeit possibly with a more contemporary and personal flavour than Church Ministers.
I strongly believe that at a funeral the main focus should be on celebrating the life of the person you have lost, and the comfort that can be brought to family and friends, through carefully chosen words, music, poems or prayers.
I find that everyone tends to have their own ‘religion’; that is, the guidelines by which they live their own lives. Many people consider themselves to be ‘non-religious’ and wish no religious content; others who consider themselves ‘non-religious’, may turn to religious teachings at times of loss, as they find comfort in the belief that they are leaving their loved ones in the hands of God, therefore giving them the chance of everlasting life. I have also found that many people consider themselves more ‘spiritual’ than ‘religious’ and take great comfort from beautiful readings and poems reflecting this belief.
I will make an initial visit to the family of the deceased, to discuss all the arrangements for the ceremony, and following this I will prepare a meaningful and personalised service, empathising with the exact requirements of the family and friends. There will be ample opportunity to fine tune the details before the day, and any communications will be dealt with in a sensitive and professional way.
I pride myself on being utterly reliable, compassionate and yet composed, professional and accurate in all aspects of my work. I endeavour to accommodate the wishes of the client wherever possible and I guarantee to treat every client with the utmost respect and dignity – I truly believe it is the last nice thing I can do for someone and hopefully make a very difficult time a little easier for their family.
